Kennel Cough – What is Kennel Cough
Like the common cold in humans, kennel cough spreads quickly among groups of dogs. The illness is a type of bronchitis called infectious tracheobronchitis that occurs most frequently in dogs and is characterized by a hacking cough.
Although a dog with kennel cough may have a diminished appetite and run a low fever, the dog usually recovers in a couple of weeks. Kennel cough is a common disease contracted by canines. It is pretty much like the common cold to a human. And your dog would get it at least once in their life.
This disease is also known as canine infectious tracheobronchitis. It is also called canine cough. This affects the upper respiratory system, specifically the larynx, trachea and bronchi. A dog can contract it at any stage of its life. It is signified by frequent coughing.
