Here are some simple steps to follow to help you take better care of your acne skin daily.
Oily skin type
Using a toner would be a wise decision if you want to make sure your face is clean.
Whenever buying cleansers and moisturizers, buy oil-free. This is very important. Also try stuff with high benzoyl peroxide or salicylic acid these ingredients really fight acne.
It’s very important to moisturize even though you might not feel like you have to, this actually will help with your acne.
Some other tips:
Try using a different pillow case every other night. It will keep the bacteria from building up.
Always use clean hands when applying your make-up
Do not pop your pimples unless you are under the correct conditions. Wash your hands and face before popping. Put your face in some steam or just take a hot shower before. This will open your pores. Use your fingers not nails, they’ll break the skin.
Start from the edge and slowly go in. If it doesn’t pop after the second time, wait for tomorrow. It won’t come out if it is not surfaced and all you’ll end up doing is creating more damage. If it does pop clean your face once more and cleanse the area around the pimple well. I tend to put some moisturizer on the spot to calm the skin. If it bleeds which you really want to avoid doing, dab it until it stops.
There will be less of a scab. Scabs are impossible to coverup. If you don’t pop a pimple it will spread and create more pimples.
Try to keep your body hydrated
You will need to drink a lot of water. With proper hydration of the body, you will start notice quick improvements in the quality of your skin. Just by increasing your water intake to at least 8-10 glasses per day, you will notice your skin becoming more plump, supple, healthy and young looking in about a weeks’ time.
